KIRASA ENERGY SA is a limited company, Burundian and with a board of directors, specializing in the design, financing and operation of infrastructures in the field of renewable energy and especially in hydroelectricity.
The company was created in order to carry out the project of hydroelectric development in cascade on the river of KIRASA in the province of Bujumbura rural in Burundi.
Our origin
Legally, the company Kirasa Energy is governed by the law N°13 of 23/04/2015 on the reorganization of the energy sector under the PPP (Public Private Partnership) regime.
Our expertise
- Energy expertise: hydraulic, solar, wind, biomass and energy transport;
- Pre-feasibility and feasibility study of projects;
- Study of detailed design and execution project;
- Realization of the projects of exploitation and maintenance of the latter;
- Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and Population Relocation Action Plans (PRAP);
- Economic and financial studies and analyses of projects;
- Project financing study.

Our strengths
We work with a panel of experts of different national and international specialties with a solid experience in the execution of hydraulic projects, engineering structures, roads, sanitation, etc.
In addition, we also work with experienced national and international technical partners in project design. We are therefore familiar with the local and regional energy context.
