If all current projects in Burundi are completed by 2023, Kirasa Energy S.A. will cover the country's projected energy deficit of around 100 GWh/year.
Improvement of the cash flow of REGIDESO due to the very competitive sale price compared to the current thermics.
Generation of employment in the surrounding communities during the construction phase.

Improvement of the living conditions of the population through the electrification of social infrastructures (schools, health centers) and households.
Development of income generating activities and creation of economic development poles through crafts and industry.
Reduction of the country's deforestation by substituting firewood with electricity.
Rehabilitation and creation of road infrastructure in the project area during the construction and operation phases.

The developments are all run-of-river which does not create a large reservoir causing flooding of the crop fields.
